A Brief Presentation

Eksjö Gymnasium comprises three school premises - Östanåskolan, Nova and Storegårdsskolan.

The number of pupils during school year 2009 / 2010 is approx. 650. Education is conducted in nine national programs as well as four programs within the upper secondary special needs school.

The number of employees ( teachers, administrative personnel, caretakers, counsellors, cleaners, dining-hall and dormitory staff ) totals 140, of which approx. 80 are full- time staff.

There are two dormitories tied to the Upper Secondary School where pupils can rent single or double rooms. There is accommodation for approx.
60 pupils, and the dormitories are utilised principally by the orienteerers and by the pupils of the Arts Program who specialise in animation.

Parents are always welcome to visit the school at their convenience to form their own ideas about work at school. There they have the opportunity to meet and discuss with the staff. If the need arises to discuss matters at length one can always make an appointment.

Pupils at the Upper Secondary School are guaranteed a personal development assessment with their mentor each term. Parents of all but final year pupils have the right of access to information from these meetings.
